BURNS

As the types and severity of the burns differ, pain resulting from burns might be difficult to treat. Burns can be classified as 3 types.        First-degree burns are milder than other types of burns. As a result of them, pain and reddening of the epidermis might occur. Second-degree burns affect both the epidermis and the dermis. These kinds of burns cause pain, redness, swelling and blistering. Third-degree burns, going beyond the dermis, affect the tissues of deeper parts of the body. They result in white or blackened, charred skin, which might be numb.
