CARDIOLOGY

Heart’s main function is pumping blood throughout the body. When the heart fails to pump a sufficient amount of blood that the body needs, heart failure occurs. Heart failure symptoms may include shortness in breath, coldness in hand and feet, abdominal distension, wheezing coughs and waking up from night’s sleep due to shortness in breath. Coronary heart diseases, hypertension, smoking, diabetes mellitus, obesity, and hereditary predisposition are among the risk factor of heart failure. Heart failure is a risky disease. Leading a careful life under a doctor’s supervision reduces the risks.
