HIPEC

Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, also known as HIPEC, is a method of hot chemotherapy administered directly into the abdomen during surgery. When compared with standard treatment methods, HIPEC has many positive effects, such as reducing systemic toxicity, increasing survival, minimizing exposure to chemotherapy throughout the body,  increasing chemotherapy absorption by improving the sensitivity of cancer cells, and reducing some side effects.
